Hydraulic Fluid Safety

Hydraulic systems are integral to a wide range of applications, including vehicle automatic transmissions, brakes, and industrial machinery. For these systems to function effectively, they need hydraulic fluid, which transfers system pressure from one point to another and enables the pushing, pulling, lifting, turning, and holding of objects. However, working with hydraulic fluid and the systems that contain it presents numerous hazards. In this course, you will learn more about how to safely operate and maintain hydraulic systems, including best practices for working with and around these systems, safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency response procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

This course was developed with subject matter expert support provided by Strata-G, LLC, a global professional services company focusing on regulatory compliance, safety and health, infrastructure management and operations, and business services. Please note, the course materials and content were current with the laws and regulations at the time of the last expert review; however, they may not reflect the most current legal developments, location-specific, or facility/process-specific requirements. Nothing herein, or in the course materials, shall be construed as professional advice as to any particular situation with respect to compliance with legal statutes or requirements.
