Essential Standards of Conduct (ESOC) employee training is a fundamental component of Kemper's commitment to a compliant and ethical culture. As an employee, you represent the face of our company in every business transaction, every phone call, and every e-mail. We have created standards that provide specific guidance for ethical behavior, but it's up to you to practice those principles in all your day-to-day work. This training includes video, narration, and text. You may elect to watch the video and listen to the audio or mute the audio using the volume controls of your computer or mobile device to read the text.   • recognize employees' responsibility to avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance of conflicts of interest when accepting gifts and offers of business entertainment
  • recognize employees' responsibility to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with our organization's values, culture, and mission
  • use appropriate strategies to prevent the theft or improper disclosure of personal, confidential, or sensitive information maintained by the company
  • recognize behaviors that could be viewed as retaliation
  • recognize behavior that is out of character in a respectful workplace
  • recognize the types of activities that may be considered illegal insider trading
  • identify principles of respectful communication in the workplace
